Member of Parliament for Hatfield Tapiwa Mashakada says the banning of mobile money systems is an anti- people decision that oppressed people more than actually dealing with money laundering problems.
In a Press Conference at MDC T Harvest House, Mashakada said that the government is actually oppressing people because mobile money is has enabled citizens to survive in a harsh economy.
Mashakada said that government should deal with mischief that itself is responsible for, such as inavailability of cash to citizens and most importantly hyper inflation.
He said that the ZANU PF government has proved to be clueless and is failing to manage the economy after they issued a statement announcing the banning of mobile money services.
