Chartered accountant Maud Chifamba has been named in the Top 40 under 40 Young Business leaders in Zimbabwe.

Chifamba was awarded together with some great business people by the Institute of Corporate Directors in Zimbabwe.

Maud is best known as the youngest university student in Africa, as she was accepted to the University of Zimbabwe to study for an accounting degree at 14 in 2012.

Taking to social media, Maud said she is grateful for being recognised in such a prestigious award.

She was represented by her brother Mukundi Chifamba as she is not in the country.

She wrote:

TOP 40 under 40 YOUNG Business Leaders in Zimbabwe. Super grateful to The Institute of Corporate Directors in Zimbabwe for awarding me this honor, together with some exceptional business leaders in Zimbabwe. Also using this to plug that I am in the 100 most reputable Africans 2024 list😜.

Always grateful to God whose power works within me and through whom all things are possible! Never let age stop you from making impact – I was 21 when I started lecturing at the University of Zimbabwe(independently responsible for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses), 23 when I became finance executive for Zimbabwe’s largest FMCG distribution company and 24 when I chaired a government board while also regulating a billion dollar telecommunications industry. Show up, everyday, like you belong in those rooms.

I definitely miss the work I was doing back home, but believing I am where I need to be for the next big thing for my purpose in this world.

Sidenote – This is an opportunity to show off my brother Mukundi Chifamba who is my gracious rep❤️✅.
