Starlink has started taking US$9 deposits for prospective Zimbabwean customers.
It says that it has earmarked the second quarter of 2024 to start offering service to Zimbabwe subject to regulatory approval.
The Zimbabwean Information Minister said that they received Starlink application for approval.
Starlink says orders are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The average monthly fee for Starlink is
US$90, the one off hardware payment is around US$500.
The introduction of Starlink in 6 African countries is seeing prices from local service providers go down in order to keep customers.
