Seven South African nationals have died in a car accident in Botswana on their way back home after a church service.

They were among 14 people who attended a church service in Botswana on Tuesday 28 April.

The accident involved two cars, a ford ranger with four passengers and a Toyota hiance taxi with 14 Mzansi citizens on board.

The seven citizens including the five females and two males were certified dead while the rest of the passengers were admitted to hospital with different injuries.

Police investigations to establish the cause of the accident are ongoing.
