There is panic in South Africa as major food companies continue to recall packaged drink products due to the presence of poisons and poor packaging practices.
Pioneer Foods has became the latest company to recall a food product due to the presence of a poison in the food.
Writing in an advert that was circulated this week, Pioneer foods said they are recalling the popular Liquifruit clear apple juice due to the excessive presence of a poison (patulin).
The affected products have been sold across Southern Africa and most of the consumers are unlikely to see the recall notice.
