Prominent journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has accused prophet Passion Java of being a senseless crook working for Emmerson Mnangagwa and his government.

This comes after Java on Saturday created a stir in towns along the Harare-Bulawayo highway. He made stops in Chegutu, Kadoma, Kwekwe and Gweru on his way to Bulawayo and hundreds of fans in each town mobbed his car.

Posting on twitter, Chin’ono said Zimbabwean youths must stop being being fooled by Mnangagwa’s puppets.

“The Zimbabwean youths MUST open their eyes to the reality that the crooks they run after like senseless groupies are actually working hard for the same system that has made their lives miserable, broke, jobless and addicts!”

In videos circulating on the internet, swarms of fans eager for a meet and greet with Java chased after his convoy.

He was in the company of the late Ginimbi’s younger sister, Nelia Kadungure and businessman, Mike Chimombe.

ZANU PF clerics and entrepreneurs including Philip Chiyangwa were having a meeting in Bulawayo. Mike Chimombe was named leader of the AAG while Java is his deputy.

“I once spoke about how ZANUPF was setting up distractions like Java to confuse the youths. Imagine having a boyfriend or husband running after a ZANUPF enabler for a dollar. That is what ZANUPF has reduced youths to👇🏿 ”
