The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa has left for Mozambique to attend a SADC Extraordinary Double Troika summit.

The President of Botswana Mokgweetsi Masisi called for the SADC Extraordinary Double Troika Summit after ISIS group attacked Cabo Delgado and Palma in Mozambique.

Masisi is the chair of the organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation.

The summit is set to deliberate on the insurgency in Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado Province.

The Troika Summit will be attended by leaders from Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
