Prominent journalist Hopewell Chin’ono says Emmerson Mnangagwa’s move to to evict more than 12000 Shanghai people in chilango is unacceptable, even by the standards of any corrupt society.

Chin’ono said It’s unacceptable that a company that is directly linked to Mnangagwa, takes land from black people which so many people fought for during the liberation struggle.

Chin’ono who has faced persecution and harassment for exposing the ills of the government said the regime abuses people because they are defenseless.

“For how long are poor people going to be abused like this. For how long are we going to accept a president to use his state power to enhance his own private wealth. This is unacceptable”, he

Hopewell blamed the country’s situation on Mnangagwa’s failure to implement reforms and his incompetence.

“People are dying in their homes because they do not have medication for high blood pressure, they do not have medication for diabetes. They do not have medication for the most basic of illnesses and, and this is what we’ve been subjected to this country is wealthy, our hospitals”

He said Zimbabwe only needs us$50 million a year, and yet they’re smuggling gold worth $100 million while every month, a budget that would run hospitals for two years, is being stolen.
