A picture of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa with a tired looking Zimbabwe President , ED Mnangagwa, has gone viral as both men were not wearing masks.
The picture is dated 25 January 2021 and it is not clear where it was taken.
A Zimbabwe government spokesman, Nick Mangwana, was forced to comment as speculation mounted on the nature of the interaction between Mnangagwa and Makandiwa.
Zimbabweans were shocked that both Mnangagwa and Makandiwa were not wearing masks, and most felt that the two were risking their lives by removing masks and not maintaining at least 1 meter social distancing.
Many Zimbabweans have speculated that Mnangagwa was looking for divine intervention and prayers after the death of 4 ministers in one week.
However, other sources have told Gambakwe Media that Mnangagwa might appoint Makandiwa as one of his presidential advisors, replacing Dr Shingi Munyeza, who was embarrassed by a cheating scandal last week.
Others have speculated that Mnangagwa might appoint Makandiwa as one of his government ministers, replacing one of those who died last week.
Meanwhile Prophet Makandiwa has been speaking against vaccines.
In his video sermons on social media, the popupar prophet has been saying the vaccine needs to be tested because they are harmful to human health.
He says the countries most affected should be the ones taking the vaccines and not Zimbabwe which has a low number of infections and an 86% recovery rate.
Makandiwa also claims that the world rulers are on a mission of reducing the world population to 1 billion.
