MDC-T Secretary-General, Douglas Mwonzora, has announced major changes in the way that the MDC-T Extraordinary Congress will be held on Sartuday, 19 December 2020.

Speaking exclusively to Gambakwe Media, Senator Mwonzora said the Ministry of Health has asked the party to hold their congresses in their respective provinces.

The respective de-centralised venues will be :

Sheraton Hotel

Mutare

Masvingo

Midlands

Bulawayo

Missing $300 000

Mwonzora said the matter that was being reported by Chisvo to the police, over missing $300 000 was dealt with and Dr Thokozani Khuphe will write a letter to the police clarifying the fact.

Senator Mwonzora said Phugeni does not like him but he does not take it to heart.

Mwonzora said Phugeni was not at today’s standing committee, otherwise he would have seen the evidence that the money was handled correctly.

Mwonzora said Phugeni sponsored someone to go to the Daily newspaper to plant the fake story of fraud.

Abednico Bhebhe

Mwonzora said Bhebhe ‘s Case has been postponed to next week, which will be after the extraordinary Congress.

Voters Roll

Dr Mwonzora revealed that the voters roll will be finalised on Thursday 17 December and then ballots will be printed ones the number of delegates have been finalised.

Is Phugeni the MDC-T Spokesman?

Dr Mwonzora explained that Khaliphani Phugeni was given a leave of absence and he has not been re-appointed in his position.

Mwonzora said Dr Tapiwa Mashakada is currently the acting MDC-T Spokesman and Phugeni is not yet speaking for the party.

Mwonzora said Phugeni should choose whether he speaks for Dr Thokozani Khuphe or for the party.
