Movement for Democratic Change Alliance Chairperson Job Sikhala who is in hiding in the bush in fear of being arrested and thrown into prison has been receiving food from well wishers.

Sikhala allegedly went into hiding soon after the arrest of July 31 protests organiser and opposition Transform Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume as well as journalist Hopewell Chin’ono for allegedly inciting violence ahead of the protests.

In the video circulating on social media, Sikhala received food from men who did not reveal themselves however he thanked them for caring.

Sikhala said he has been receiving solidarity messages from diasporians in Australia, UK, USA, South Africa and Namibia, assuring him they will demonstrate at Zimbabwean Embassies in their countries of residence.

Sikhala said 31 July national protest will proceed as planned despite the torture, violence and harassment on ZANU PF critics because If nothing is done Zimbabweans will continue suffering.
