President Hakainde Hichilema convened an extraordinary Organ Troika Summit to deliberate on Zimbabwe’s just ended elections, today.

In a statement shared by Zambia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade on X, Hichilema chaired the virtual meeting as the Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation.

“The Summit will be attended by Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Incoming Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation; His Excellency Dr Hage Gottfried Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia and Outgoing Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation; and His Excellency Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo.”

The virtual summit focuses on 23 August disputed elections and the DRC security situation, among others.
