ECOWAS Commissioner Abdel-Fatau Musah has revealed that they are ready to go and invade Niger anytime as the order has been given.
This came after ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff held an extraordinary meeting in Accra, Ghana from 17th to 18th of August 2023 to finalize plans of the deployment of the Standby Force.
After the meeting, they commenced the activation of the ECOWAS Standby Force for the restoration of constitutional order in the Republic of Niger.
