President Emmerson Mnangagwa was photographed today with his friend and counterpart, President Vladimir Putin in Russia.

This comes as President Mnangagwa attended the Russia-Africa summit in St Petersburg.

Since the pre-independence era, Zimbabwe has maintained a relatively cordial relationship with Russia

Over the years, the relationship has continued to evolve, focusing on areas such as trade, defense cooperation, and education.

To strengthen the bilateral ties between the two nations, Russia committed to providing Zimbabwe with 50,000 tonnes of grain, comprising wheat, barley, and maize, as a humanitarian aid package.
