The Las Vegas police have served a search warrant in connection with the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996.

Tupac Shakur was gunned down almost 27 years ago in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas and there have never been any arrests in his killing.

The home that was searched is less than 32km from the Las Vegas strip where Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting.

It is owned by a woman named Paula Clemons who is married to Keefe D.

Keefe D said he was in the car with a man who shot and killed the late rapper back then in 1996.

Shakur remains one of the most iconic figures in hip-hop.
