Former Zimbabwean Minister, Saviour Kasukuwere has filed a notice of appeal against the High Court ban to contest in the upcoming elections.

The court ruled that Kasukuwere had been out of the country for a continuous 18 months and, as such, was not a registered voter.

In a statement, Kasukuwere said: “We successfully filed Notice of Appeal against today’s High Court ruling on President Kasukuwere’s Candidature in this 23 August election.”

The High Court ruling has been suspended and Kasukuwere will remain on the ballot.
