2 airplanes collide at Newark Liberty International Airport

There was an accident involving two airplanes at Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday.

United Airlines reported that the two  planes made contact on the tarmac before departing around 8:30 p.m.

Air France plane reported it was hit by an ITA jet last on the tarmac. The ITA pilots were unaware of the collision and continued to fly directly to Rome..

The FAA said Saturday that one of the planes was being towed from a gate when its wing clipped another plane that was parked.
