Zanu-PF youth, Sybeth Musengezi, who is challenging the legitimacy of President Emmerson has been arrested over charges of misrepresenting his address to the party in 2012.
Police charged Sybeth Musengezi for fraudulently obtaining Zanu PF membership by registering a false address back in 2012.
Musengezi was handing himself in to the police for interviews when he was arrested.
In October 2021 he approached the High Court seeking an order declaring as illegal the November 19, 2017 coup that saw Mnangagwa ascending to power.
The arrest has been criticised as an attempt to strip him of his Zanu PF membership.
