Zambian politician Joseph Kalimbwe has warned CCC leader Nelson Chamisa against holding the elective congress.
Writing on Twitter, Kalimbwe said the ruling party ZANU PF is trying to divide CCC through a congress.
“Prior to our 2021 elections, PF members wanted to force their way into our UPND and demand that a Congress be held in order that we have a different Presidential candidate & not our leader. Theirs was to see us divided through a congress. Let no outsider divide your home !!!”
Chamisa’s decision to forgo elective congress has caused disgruntlement within the party as some members believe that the decision borders on dictatorship.
