Theives pounced on the Zion Christian Church headquarters in Moria, Polokwane yesterday, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.

The criminals allegedly broke into the church’s building and gained access to the offices where funds were kept.

Church leader Barnabas Lekganyane alerted the police after discovering that they had been robbed.

An employee from the church said the robbery might be an inside job because only people who work there know were funds are stashed.

Meanwhile, Limpopo provincial police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo said investigations leading to the arrest of the robbers are underway.
