The President of Lead Zimbabwe has sued the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission for excluding her name on Voters roll.

Masarira took to social media to announce that her lawyers are handling the matter.

“I have consulted with my lawyers on the @ZECzim inconsistencies. Have already started taking legal action against ZEC. We need an accountable & transparent electoral commission that serves all stakeholders equally without fear or favour. We will not sit back & watch this nonsense,” she posted.

On Wednesday Linda Masarira took to social media to reveal that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission excluded her name on the voters roll.

“In 2018 I raised a query after I realized that my name was not there in the voters roll that was supplied to me by @ZECzim This evening I have been going through the voters I was given after nomination court dated as of 8 January 2022 & my name is still not there,” she posted.

“I demand answers on why @ZECzim still provides a different voters roll to candidates from the one that they use because if I check on the online BVR inspection I am appearing on the voters roll. I also checked some other people on the roll & they are not appearing on the roll,” she added.

“We are sick & tired of raising the same issues every election year. It is evident and clear that @ZECzim is failing to excite it’s mandate to run credible elections in this country. If I am not supplied with the actual voters roll that ZEC is using I am taking legal action,” she added.
