Opposition Citizens Coaliton for Change activist Happymore Chidziva says Zanu PF thugs have attacked his party’s Highfield West Ward 26 by-elections candidate Maxwell Dutuma.
Writing on Facebook, Happymore Chidziva said his party will not fold its hands untill peace is saved.
“Cllr Maxwell Dutuma have been severely attacked at Gazaland and now is in police custody after violence rocked Highfieldwest. We will however not fold our hands until peace takes centre stage”, he wrote.
Another youth member Munyaradzi Makwanya was attacked with iron bars and stones.
CCC youth leader Makomborero Haruzivishe said: “Police arrested the badly injured Maxwell and left the unconcious Munyaradzi. Zanu PF thugs assaulted them with stones and iron bars,”
