Popular South African film maker and actor, Shona Ferguson was born on 30 April 1972 in Gaborone, Botswana.

His journey in the entertainment industry could be traced back to his days in Lesotho as a Club Deejay at The Palace Hotel Night Club in 1992.

Upon returning to Botswana, he had to shift his focus to the corporate world and then landed in the IT business.

He kicked off his career in acting playing the role of Ace on Generations, a Mzansi TV series.

In 2006, he began to act on the Muvhango, playing the role of Dr. Leabua. The role brought him into the spotlight.

In March 2007, he left the show and landed a starring role as Itumeleng on an M-Net soapie from 2011 through 2013.

Together with his wife, Shona established Ferguson Films. The couple played starring roles in Rockville.

He played the role of JB for three years (2013 through 2016) and stared as Jerry Maake on The Queen.

He played a starring role on The Gift (2014), a Ferguson Film Series.

Shona has also appeared in other TV series including Isidingo: The Need as Tyson and Alex in Scandal! In 2010, he appeared in the film, Mrs. Mandela.

He further produced and acted in a Netflix Series titled “Kings of Joburg”.

Shona got married to Connie Ferguson, they became husband and wife in November 2001.

The couple is blessed with a daughter, Alicia Angel Ferguson.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Alicia, into their family on the 7th of June 2002.
