Closure DNA this week visited a family in Mabvuku after a married man, Courage, asked for a DNA with his neighbor, Latwin, who is also his wife, Mai Maka’s best friend.
Latwin said she was dating Courage for close to a year. She then moved to work in Stoneridge as a maid and would come home on weekends.
Latwin said when she fell pregnant, she did not tell the Courage as he was not available and she tried to abort the pregnancy.
Latwin said during the lock down, Courage went to live at his father’s farm. The child was eventually born before she told him.
She said when Courage came back and was informed about the baby, he refused to accept that the baby was his.
The married man speaks
On his part, Courage said he asked for the DNA after he agreed with his wife and his uncle that Latwin ‘s story did not add up.
He said he knew the Latwin as they grew up together and he never dated her, they were just flirting.
Doubts
Courage said he only slept with Latwin once in town. He said he only knew she was pregnant a year after he slept with her and this was strange.
Secondly, he said he heard rumors that Lackwin once claimed another man was the father of the child.
Courage said he never Latwin, but it was that once off thing that happened in town.
He said his wife was hurt and shocked, but she accepted his apology when she found out.
Checking the story
When brought talking together, Latin said she thought they were in love, while Courage said he thought they were just flirting.
Courage said they used to talk a lot on the phone and he was surprised that she never told him about the pregnancy.
Latwin said she never told him about the pregnancy because he was married and she tried to abort the pregnancy and failed.
DNA Results
The results of the DNA showed that Courage was not the father of the child.
After the results were presented, Latwin insisted that she never slept with any other man and she does not know any other man who could be the father of her daughter.
Courage said he is happy that the truth has been revealed.
