MDC-T leader, Douglas Mwonzora and former MDC T leader, Thokozani Khupe have backed Mnangagwa to appoint judges without interviews.
Yesterday, the Senate voted for Constitutional No. 1 which gives Mnangagwa power to appoint judges without interviews.
According to the list provided by Hopewell Chinono, Khupe and Mwonzora are among the officials who backed Mnangagwa.
Khupe and Mwonzora are always criticised by many people for being puppets of the ruling party.
However, Chinono says the powers given to Mnangagwa are unconstitutional.
“It is unconstitutional because you can’t have a bill from a previous parliament passed by a different parliament according to section 147. #DefendTheConstitution, ” tweeter Chinono.
