Zimbabwe First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa yesterday launched a “national dress” and national fabrics, at a function held at State House.

Various designs were presented by models, all of them made out of national fabrics. There were 12 categories which were showcased.

The 12 categories included sports wear, baby wear, evening wear, formal wear, smart casual, hotel ambience, women’s wear, entertainment, casual street, chief’s apparel and the president’s shirt.

Consultations with different government sectors, artists, historians, traditional healers, chief’s wives and researchers from all over the 10 provinces were done to come up with the design for the national dress.
