Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions have distanced themselves from the Movement for Democratic Change Tsvangirai Extraodinary Congress.
In a statement on Twitter, ZCTU said it was never approached by Thokozani Khupe led party.
ZCTU acknowledged that there are members across political divide within the movement thus individuals are partaking in the congress on their own.
“ZCTU as a labour movement has members across political divide and individuals like DSG Thomas Masvingwe are participating in their individual capacities as supporters of their party @nelsonchamisa @DrThoko_Khuphe”, read the statement.
This comes after MDC T released a statement saying Masvingwe met with EOC candidates to pave way for the holding of free, fare, credible and verifiable elections.
