Protesters and police clashed outside the Zimbabwean embassy in Pretoria protesting about the human rights violations taking place in Zimbabwe.

South African police on Friday used grenades and rubber bullets to disperse Zimbabwean activists who staged a protest at Zimbabwe’s embassy in, Pretoria, South Africa.

The protesters called for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and other neighboring countries to react to the problems faced by Zimbabweans in a their country in its economic and security challenge.

This comes after South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said he would send two envoys former Cabinet minister Sidney Mufamadi and former parliamentary speaker Baleka Mbete to Zimbabwe to assess the situation.

Even though many Zimbabweans appreciated efforts by Ramaphosa to send a South African Envoy to Zimbabwe, protesters In Pretoria said Ramaphosa himself should go.
