Movement for Democratic Change Alliance spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere and other individuals who were arrested with her have been granted $5 000 bail.
Mahere appeared before Harare magistrate Ngoni Nduna on Saturday Morning and they have been asked to surrender their passports as part of their bail conditions.
She was arrested for staging a peaceful demonstration on Friday.
Mahere was charged with contravening section 37(1)(b) of the Criminal Law (Codification & Reform) Act by participating in a gathering with intent to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry.
