Eleven of the nurses that were arrested After staging a demo demanding an increase in salaries and to be paid in USDs have been released on ZW$1 000 each.
The president of the Zimbabwe Nurses Association, Enoch Dongo said that the Nurses were released on Bail and are required to report at a near police station once every week.
Enoch Dongo condemned the arrest of the nurses saying that it was not democratic, arresting workers who demanded a better life for themselves and their families.
The arrest of the 11 Nurses sparked an uprising amongst other nurses at Parirenyatwa hospital and at United Bulawayo Hospitals as well who staged demonstrations demanding to be paid more and in US Dollars since they were handling Corona virus patients.
