More than 200 Zimbabweans in China have asked for assistance to come back home.

According to Zekey Media, some Zimbabweans have been unemployed for about four to five months while landlords are refusing to renew their accommodation contracts for unknown reasons.

Zekey said the government is making plans for Zimbabweans in China to come home.

About 2 000 returnees have been recorded since the lockdown began on March 30.

Overall, an estimated 3 000 and 500 citizens are expected from neighbouring South Africa and Mozambique, respectively, over the next few weeks.
