MDC Alliance deputy president Tendai Biti says the Supreme Court ruling nullifying Nelson Chamisa’s status as party leader will not affect the operations of the main opposition.

Biti addressed the media at his Milton Park lawfirm on Tuesday after the  High Court ruling declaring Thokozani Khupe as the legitimate  leader of MDC.

“The supreme court’s ruling does not concern us”, said Biti.

MDC A shall proceed with its operations without any regard to the ruling.

He added that Chamisa who was unanimously elected as President in 2019 at the congress in Gweru is the ultimate party’s President.

Biti had  scheduled the presser for 5′ oclock at the party’s Morgan Richard Tsvangirai (former Harvest) head office in Harare CBD, however the police blocked the presser.

“It is regrettable that as you saw the police barred us from having this press conference at our party head office at Morgan Tsvangirai House”, he said.
