The reasons why it has become more than necessary for us Zimbabweans to call for and advocate for peaceful people power revolution or our justification for the refusal to participate in useless dialogue and useless (always rigged or flawed) elections but our invoking of people power revolution to end the rein of Zanu PF junta is by way of the issuance of an indictment against their illegal rule and for violating our constitutional rights are as follows:
It should be taken note that in 1550 Magdeburg Confession legitimized resistance against Holy Roman Emperor Charles V through the use of of a legal formula called the Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate.
When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws if nature and nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
As all people of Zimbabwe we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Zimbabweans are created equal, that we are endowed by our creator with certain unalienable (natural) rights, that among these are life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of us the governed, that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is our right to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, which should lay its foundation on such principles and organising its powers in such form, as to us shall seem most likely to effect our safety and happiness.
It is agreeable that legitimate Governments should not be changed for light and transient causes, however, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same objects evinces a design to reduce us under absolute despotism, it is our right, it is our sacred duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for our future security.
Such has been the patient sufferance of us the people of Zimbabwe under Zanu PF rule. Enough is enough.
