Member of Parliament for Gokwe Nembudziya constituency Justice Mayor Wadyajena has blamed sanctions for the collapse of the Zimbabwean dollar and suffering of the ordinary populace.

Wadyajena said sanctions are responsible for the economic failure in Zimbabwe and the suffering of ordinary Zimbabweans.

“Sanctions caused the collapse of the Zimbabwean Dollar.
These sanctions have an indiscriminate impact and entail severe negative humanitarian consequences for the ordinary people,” he said.

He added that they also caused economic damage to SADC countries with total loses running into US$ billions.

However, Wadyajena has been blasted for using the sanctions issue to hide his corrupt activities.

An award winning Zimbabwean Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono said “This crooked politician buys a lamborghini in Europe for over US$250 000 and evades paying customs duty meant to pay for hospital medicines using his proximity to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Citizens in his constituency have no access to health care then he comes here and says its sanctions” he said.
