Renowned journalist Hopewell Chin’ono says he received R50 000 as appreciation gift from a prominent Zimbabwean, for contributions he has made towards Zimbabwe’s journey to democracy.
Hopewell is in Johannesburg where he had dinner with his personal doctor, Nyasha Maboreke.
Chin’ono said he will channel the money to providing mental health drugs for Zimbabweans who can’t afford them.
“If you have a relative who needs mental health drugs but can’t afford them, let me know! Thank you to the restaurant that took in the money for banking, much appreciated!”, said Chin’ono.
