The South African Statistical Agency has released its first ever report on immigration.
Key findings from the report include that:
- Zimbabwe is now the biggest source market for immigrants in South Africa.
- Zimbabwe sends the most students to South Africa.
- Most immigrants in South Africa are gainfully employed.
- The level of crime among immigrants is much lower than perceived.
