Permanent secretary of information Nick Mangwana had to delete a post on X after celebrating the sanctions revamp imposed yesterday.
The US is sanctioning President Emmerson Mnangagwa and other top officials over gross abuses.
Taking to X, Mangwana said the sanctions strike is a great vindication of President Mnangagwa.
“Well, this is massive. A great vindication of President @edmnangagwa’s Foreign Policy”, he wrote.
Mangwana came underfire for misrepresenting facts and celebrating the sanctions announcements as a great foreign policy achievement forcing him to delete his post.
