Former Norton legislator Temba Mliswa’s 20-year-old daughter Chanetsa was arrested after being caught with illegal drugs at a house in Avonlea, Harare.
She was arrested by detectives together with 27-year-old Tawanda Chigudu in Avonlea, Harare, on 22 February.
Chanetsa was found with Methyl​enedioxy​methamphetamine, commonly known as ecstasy. The drugs are worth ZW$195,000 (about US$15).
The duo were charged with unlawful possession of dangerous drugs as defined in section 157(1) (a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 09:23 as read with section 14(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act Chapter 15:02.
