Minister of sports Kirsty Coventry has been inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in the United States of America.
The event happened on Saturday in the US.
The class of 2023 saw 13 new members of the International Swimming Hall of Fame whose names will be placed in the ISHOF museum.
The induction is in honour of Kirsty’s dazzling career as a swimmer where she bagged seven Olympic medals.
Citizens Coalition for Change’s member of parliament Fadzai Mahere congratulated Coventry for flying Zimbabwe’s flag high.
“CONGRATULATIONS to Kirsty Coventry on being inducted the International Swimming Hall of Fame. This is big news for Zimbabwe and an honour well-deserved. #TeamZimbabwe🇿🇼”, she wrote.
