Zimbabwe’s leading rugby referee Precious Pazani has been named in the team of World Rugby Emirates Match Officials selected for the three-level inaugural WXV competition to be held in New Zealand, South Africa and Dubai between October 13 to November 4.

Pazani will take charge of the final warm-up match between WXV 2 rivals South Africa and Samoa.

She will be match referee between the southern hemisphere rivals at Boland Stadium, Wellington on October 7 while Giana Viljoen and Zoe Naude, both from South Africa will be the assistant referees.

In April, Pazani officiated at the World Rugby Challenger Series in South Africa. Pazani has also previously officiated at the Dubai Invitational Sevens and the Cape Town Sevens at the end of 2022
