In a Bizzare case,B-Metro reports that newly married Nobulelo Thebe (25), a preacher at Brethren in Christ Church, has left her marriage to SA based Godfrey Nkala, and went back to her old lover, Mthandazo Dube (47).
Dube is the spokesman for the West Nicholson – Mberengwa road project and is a former teacher at Mkwabene Secondary School, where Nombulelo was a form four student in 2018. The two are suspected to have been lovers while at the school.
Godfre’s aunt, Dorothy Nkala, confirmed the story and said the Thebe family had returned R13 000 which Godfrey had paid as lobola. The refund was processed at a family meeting held in Insiza early this year.
On her part, Nobulelo denied everything and said she was too young for marriage and did not remember marrying anyone.
However, her uncle Bethwell Khumalo confirmed that Dube had paid R5000 earlier this year as notification that he intended to marry Nobulelo after he completed rituals for his wife who died 3 years ago.
