E-Creator founder Zhao Jiaotong will spent the weekend in prison after he appeared before a Harare magistrate on Friday facing fraud charges.
Magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa, slapped Jiatong, 39, with money laundering charges.
Jiaotong was arrested Thursday for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting Zimbabweans of over US$1million.
According to court papers, sometime in January, Jiaotong came up with the plan to defraud unsuspecting Zimbabweans through E-Creator.
Meanwhile, he will be back in court Monday for bail application.
