Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s hearing in the extradition proceedings in Malawi has been adjourned again.

Bushiri and his wife Mary were scheduled to appear on Monday, 10 July, for the first part of the hearing at the Lilongwe Magistrates Court in Malawi.

The trial was postponed after Bushiris’ lawyer, Wapona Kita, filed a motion in court that the statements made by South African witnesses needed authentication under Malawi’s Extradition Law.

The couple is expected to appear for a new court date on Thursday, 29 July.

South Africa said it is not yet prepared citing that it was umbushed thus needs more time.
