King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has been hospitalised in eSwatini after he suspected to have been poisoned.

Zulu Traditional Prime Minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi confirmed the news in statement yesterday.

Prince Mangosuthu said King Misuzulu began to feel unwell and suspected that he may have been poisoned.

This comes after it was suspected that his senior Induna who passed on suddenly was poisoned.

The king felt uncomfortable seeking medical treatment in South Africa as his parents (King Goodwill Zwelithini and Queen Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu) both died in the country while being treated.

“It is understood that His Majesty is under medical care and is doing well. Further information will be conveyed when it becomes available,” read the statement.
