The Ford Ranger has emerged as winner of the 2023 South African Car of the Year competition, sponsored by Old Mutual Insure.
Ford also scooped second place in the competition with its latest Everest SUV, while the Mercedes S-Class took third place overall.
This becomes the first time in 37-years that a bakkie has won in the competition.
The Car of the Year competition aims at showcasing excellence and innovation, and celebrating vehicles that push the boundaries in their segments.
