Businessman Wicknell Chivhayo has posted 23 reasons that compel him to associate with the ruling party, ZANU PF.
Below are the reasons he mentioned:
1. The new and iconic PARLIAMENT building was completed in Mt Hampden;
2. The Gwaai Shangani dam nears completion and a Hydroelectric power station is expected to also take shape augmenting power supplies in the Country;
3. An UNPRECEDENTED 250km water pipeline from Gwaai to Bulawayo is also being constructed with irrigation dams in between, a FIRST in Africa
4. MORDENISATION of the Beitbridge border post which also included construction of 250 houses for workers, bus terminal and an automated truck route have been completed.
5. INAGURAL launch of Zimbabwe’s own satellite system (ZIMSAT-1).
6. SUCCESSFUL completion of the WORLD-CLASS” Harare to Beitbridge highway that is now well over 90% complete AND many other roads implemented under Phase 1 and 2 of the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Program.
7. Increase of 300 000 hectares of sugarcane & citrus farming in the low veld outside Hippo Valley and Triangle for black Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 farmers;
8. The HWANGE EXPANSION PROJECT is now almost complete and poised to add 600MW to the NATIONAL GRID making Zimbabwe a net power exporter by December 2023;
9. World-class Victoria Falls INTERNATIONAL Airport with direct flights from EUROPE, SOUTH AFRICA AND ASIA
10 Completion of the IMMINENT Harare international Airport refurbishment and sourcing up of other airstrips at Kariba, Prince Charles and Buffalo Range, all of which are now in service.
11. UNPRECEDENTED mining output currently sitting at USD6 Billion. The mining industry is poised to become a USD12 Billion dollar industry blend of 2023;
12. ZIMBABWE 🇿🇼 has become the 3rd largest TOBACCO producer in the world from being ON 15th place 4years ago.
13. The RUNDE TUNDE dam under construction will come 2nd to Kariba as the largest manmade dam. This will become the largest greenbelt in Southern Africa.
14. Marovanyati Dam in Buhera has since been COMPLETED and locals are REVELLING in brisk fish 🐠 farming business.
15. Mwenezi (Rutenga) AMARULA WINE PLANT completed and operationalised to bring foreign currency to the locals.
16. Mbudzi Roundabout Decongestion by-pass is under construction and expected to be opened to the motoring public by end of 2023.
17. Rural areas’ roads and town street roads rehabilitated, speaking BOLDLY to the mantra, “LEAVING NO ONE AND NO PLACE BEHIND”.
18. EXCELLENT Development in previously marginalised communities using DEVOLUTION FUNDS, a concept first implemented during the SECOND REPUBLIC;
19. Improved hospital infrastructure and medical supplies in major hospitals.
20. Improved renumeration for the POLICE, ARMY, doctors, nurses and the entire PUBLIC service.
21. Improved standards of living for our general population through SME’s empowerment programmes.
22. Successful introduction of government subsidies on major basic commodities to cushion citizens from ever increasing prices.
23. Introduction of a progressive MONETARY POLICY to tame inflation through GOLD COINS and deterrent interest rates which have stabilised the local currency and significantly reduced demand for the USD
