Popular award winning Zimbabwean journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, has ruled out ever running for office in Zimbabwe.
Chin’ono wrote:
I have been asked in my inboxes so many times if I will run for office, the unequivocal answer is a big NO!
Running for office takes away my freedom of thought because I have to tow a line, it takes away my journalistic freedoms.
I am preparing for my PhD studies.
Case closed!
