Kudakwashe Mahachi, a Zimbabwean football player trial has been posponed to two November this year at Bulawayo regional court.

Mahachi is charged for abusing his son resulting to him getting burnt and his right leg cut off.

Prophet Sibanda who is in defence of Mahachi contradicted the statement he gave to the police that say he came with Mahachi’ son from South Africa and handed him over to Mahachi’ sister at her flea market at Emakhandeni surburb.

He gave another statement to the court saying at 10am Mahachi called him saying that his son is suffering from mental illness and gave him umuthi and he bought Diego unwell from SA.

Sibanda also said he changed Diego’s bandages in the head and even his clothing. He instructed the accused sister to apply banana peels on Diego’s head when he handed him over.

The prosecuter exposed Sibanda as a lier and posponed the matter to two November.
