COTTON Company of Zimbabwe (COTTCO) Managing Director, Pious Manamike and the Marketing and Business Development Manager Maxmore Njanji have been arrested on allegations of corruption.
The two were arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) this Thursday after a 2021 audit report unearthed financial irregularities.
ZACC spokesperson Commissioner John Makamure confirmed the development, saying the two will appear in court this Friday.
Njani is being accused of abusing COTTCO resources to fund his political ambitions.
