A South African family is shocked after they exhumed the body of their 18 year old son and found a doll instead of his body in the coffin.
Speaking to Vhembe FM, Jonas Mathivha said they exhumed his son on 27 April after they developed doubt that they had really buried him.
My son died in March, but his body stayed warm and flexible. We took it to the mortuary where it was kept for two weeks.
We eventually buried him in April at Gelebe village in Thohoyandou.
The family now suspects that their son was turned into a Zombie by someone with strong muthi.
According to traditional healers, the muthi disguised the doll as a body during body viewing, which is only possible if close relatives are involved.
Another traditional healer said the son is likely being kept somewhere and it will take a strong traditional healer to bring him back home.
